A New Chapter in Ultra Running

The trail and ultra running community is buzzing with excitement for the World Trail Majors (WTM) 2024. This innovative series marks a pivotal moment in ultra running, uniting races across the globe under a new, community-focused banner.

What is the World Trail Majors?

The WTM is a collection of ultra-marathon races spanning various countries, designed to celebrate the diversity and spirit of the trail running community. It emerged from the dissolution of the Ultra-Trail World Tour, with race directors seeking to maintain a sense of unity and collaboration in the sport.

Why Does It Exist?

WTM was created to foster a positive impact on trail running by uniting runners, communities, and cultures. Its democratic, non-hierarchical structure ensures equal representation and shared resources among participating races. This initiative is driven by the core values of sustainability, inclusivity, and enhancing the runner experience.
